“I am honored to be the recipient of the McLean Rowing Foundation (MRF) Scholarship. Thanks to their generous support I have lessened the burden for my hard-working, single mother. As a Second year rower at McLean Crew Club (MCC), I gratefully accept the honor as a means to hopefully advance my dreams of becoming a College Rower. Because of MRF, I am constantly motivated to work to the best of my abilities, serve others through my leadership skills, and grow within new communities. Thank you, McLean Rowing Foundation Scholarship for encouraging me to do the best I can.”

No Funding for rowing programs

Most crew teams receive no funding from the school district so joining a team is out of reach for many kids without your support

Who We Are

The McLean Rowing Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports, facilitates and promotes the sport of rowing in the greater McLean Virginia area, with plans to expand to the Washington D.C. community as funding permits. We provide financial support to High School students who participate in the free and reduced-price lunch program. Learn to row, uniforms, and away regattas (e.g. Stotesbury, Nationals) are fully or partially paid by the foundation.
